F Ball Stopgap Red Bag Self-Smoothing Underlayment 25KG is a self-smoothing underlayment suitable for use in light to medium-duty internal applications for preparing sound absorbent subfloors prior to the installation of new floorcoverings.
STOPGAP RED BAG is designed for application over concrete, sand/cement screeds and other solid absorbent surfaces.
STOPGAP RED BAG is dimensionally stable and is supplied as a pre-blended dry powder which is designed for application between 3-6mm (unfilled). It is protein-free
which allows it to be used in biologically sensitive areas.
- Coverage: A 25kg bag of STOPGAP RED BAG mixed with 5.0 litres of clean water will cover approximately 4.8m2 at a thickness of 3mm.

F Ball Stopgap Red Bag SelfSmoothing Underlayment is a conveniently preblended, dry powder designed for use as a subfloor preparation in light to medium duty internal applications. Ideally suited for application over concrete, sand-cement screeds, and other absorbent solid surfaces, this versatile underlayment provides a solution for a wide range of flooring preparation needs. With characteristics of dimensional stability, this product offers a strong and robust underlaying solution for new floor installations.The Stopgap Red Bag underlayment is mixed with clean water to create a smooth application which covers roughly 48m2, when applied at a thickness of 3mm from a 25kg bag. The powder is protein-free which allows it to be safely used in biologically sensitive areas without worry of allergenic reactions. The working time for the mixture at 20 degrees Celsius ranges from 15 to 25 minutes, allowing for fast application and efficient use in professional settings.
Once applied, the underlayment requires approximately 3 hours of drying time to reach appropriate hardness for foot traffic at 20degC. It is then ready to receive floor coverings after 24 hours, providing a rapid turnaround for flooring installations.
