The F Ball Stopgap SRS Surface Reinforcement System 5KG is a low viscosity, two-component epoxy resin reinforcement product, devoid of solvents. This product is specifically fashioned to swiftly strengthen and stabilise weak or poor screeds composed of either sand-cement or calcium sulphate. The presence of hot water heating pipes in such screeds does not deter the efficiency of the product. In addition, it readily fills voids and bonds loose particles, resulting from inadequate installation or curing techniques of screeds. Importantly, Stopgap SRS typically negates the requirement to remove and replace weak or poorly compacted screeds, a procedure which can be time-consuming and costly. If the subfloor contains underfloor heating, using Stopgap SRS could minimise disruption in the construction schedule.

This product can also be used on specific screeds containing elevated levels of construction moisture, or where no effective damp proof membrane is present before the application of STOPGAP F77 Waterproof Surface Membrane. However, the use of STOPGAP F77 must be observed strictly as per the prescribed protocols. Furthermore, a thorough examination of the screed in question must be undertaken to evaluate the likelihood of success with the treatment. The coverage of the F Ball Stopgap SRS Surface Reinforcement System 5KG is approximately 3kg/m2, which considerably depends on the depth and porosity of the screed. Note that more porous, weaker screeds may require up to 5kg/m2. Accurate determination of the coverage rates is best achieved by conducting a small test area to assess the condition of the subfloor, which will aid in estimating the quantity of material needed. Also, note the product's pot life in the container which is 10 minutes at 20°C, and its working time when applied to the subfloor is approximately 30 minutes at 20°C. Following application, a setting time of 12 hours at 20°C is required before it is ready to receive further treatments after 21-2 hours. The application rate is 3-5kg/m2, with a coverage range of 1-1.7m2.
