The F Ball Stopgap 200 Acrylic Floor Smoothing Underlayment is a fast-drying, bi-component and low-smelling acrylic self-levelling smoothing underlayment, intended for various range of application from light to heavy-duty in getting ready both absorbent and non-absorbent subfloors before laying down new floor coverings. This product ensures structural stability as it is provided as a combination of pre-blended dry powder and an accompanying acrylic liquid, explicitly designed for application ranging between 2 to 20mm. The F Ball Stopgap 200 is perfect for usage over different types of subfloors such as sand-cement screed, concrete, synthetic anhydrite, sound flooring grade asphalt, granolithic, terrazzo, ceramic, quarry tiles, as well as waterproof surface membranes like the STOPGAP and epoxy or polyurethane resins.

When the Stopgap 200 powder is mixed with the Stopgap 200 Acrylic liquid, it becomes ideal for use in hygiene-conscious and biologically sensitive areas such as hospitals, labs, and clean rooms. This application underlines the product's versatility in various settings requiring different breadth of flooring needs. However, it's vital to note that the Stopgap 200 Liquid, which is not included in the pack, must be used exclusively for the mixture. The product, when applied at a 20°C temperature, gives a workable duration of about 20 to 30 minutes, and a walk-on hardness time of around 90 minutes.

As for its usage ratio, the consumption per millimetre thickness is approximately 20.8 kg/m2. The application thickness can range from 2 to 15 mm unfilled, and filled up to 20 mm. One package can cover from 13m2 to 48m2, depending on the applied thickness ranging between 3mm and 15mm. For instance, 48m2 for a 3mm applied thickness, 29m2 for a thickness of 5mm, 15m2 for 10mm, and around 13m2 for a filled mixed applied thickness of 15mm. However, these coverage rates serve as a guideline and may vary according to the condition of the subfloor. Therefore, it is advised to assess the flooring conditions before application.
