F Ball Styccobond F81 Epoxy Flooring Adhesive 5KG is a two-part, solvent-free epoxy adhesive that serves its best purpose in settings where surfaces may encounter water. The adhesive acquires resistance to water, oil, and grease once it's fully cured, in spite of its suitability for outdoor usage, it is not meant to replace or act as a waterproof surface membrane. This epoxy flooring adhesive is designed to secure a range of various floorings including some vinyl and rubber floorings, PVC backed synthetic grass carpet, and fibre bonded carpets. A testament to its durability and quality, it has undergone tests and has acquired approval from the International Maritime Organisation for use in marine floor installations.

STYCCOBOND F81 Epoxy Flooring Adhesive application techniques provide great flexibility. The epoxy adhesive can conveniently be applied to STOPGAP smoothing underlayments and sound, smooth subfloors of different materials including concrete, granolithic, sand-cement screeds, plywood and bright steel. For sound flooring-grade asphalt, a minimum of 3mm skim of appropriate STOPGAP smoothing underlayment is needed. The adhesive has a pot life of up to 60 minutes considering the temperature of the subfloor, a working time of approximately 2 hours at 20°C, and open time between 20 - 25 minutes depending on temperature, humidity and absorbency of the subfloor.

Upon application, STYCCOBOND F81 adhesive cures effectively within a reasonable time frame. For instance, at 18°C, it allows foot traffic in 24 hours, can tolerate light wheeled traffic in 3 days and comes into full functional usage after 7 days. Coverage rates of the adhesive differ based on the trowel used for application. For instance, you can achieve approximately 2m² per kg coverage using a 1.5mm x 5mm or A2 trowel and about 1.2m² per kg using a 2mm x 6mm or B2 trowel. However, it is pertinent to note that these coverage rates are subject to the condition and absorbency of the subfloor.
