| A. All our floors should be laid onto a subfloor which is smooth and clean. Your existing utility room flooring is in all likelihood not smooth enough and would need levelling to form a good base . |

| A. Karndean Knight Tiles are fixed straight onto the new smooth subfloor - that means you won't need to lay an underlay. Instead we say to use F49 adhesive as the bond in a humid situation like a conservatory . |
| Q. Can I ask what underlay is suitable for laying Karndean Knight Tile Cumbrian Stone ST14 in a basement with a stone floor? |
| A. This type of tile is fixed onto the new smooth subfloor so you don't need to use an underlay. So we recommend using F49 adhesive to waterproof in a high moisture situation such as a basement. |
