Predicting 2021 Flooring Trends in the UK

2021 is nearly upon us, so we thought we would try to predict what will be trending in the word of flooring and interior design next year. We reckon these trends will be popular in 2021, but there’s no doubt that will continue to be inspiring and eye-catching for many more years to come!

In the Navy

Turns out blue will be the new black! Navy blue – a deep dark blue hue represents class and sophistication. You have a choice to lay your floor in blue, preferably using carpet (click the link below to find all available navy flooring products through Flooring Hut) or to lay lighter flooring down and contrast that with navy colour furniture and furnishings.

The second of option is more flexible, as it allows you to choose from laminate, luxury vinyl tiles and real wood flooring, rather than just carpet. Speaking of lighter coloured floors, check out the next entry on our list of 2021 flooring trends!

Light Wood

Inspired by Scandinavian interior design, having light woods in your home in 2021 will be in vogue. You can install light wood coloured luxury vinyl tiles, laminate and real wood on your floor (click link below to search for all ‘light wood’ products on Flooring Hut). However, you can also have light wood on your walls, using Wall Mark wooding wall coverings (see second link below). Basically, the more wood you can put in your home the better, which links directly with the next design trend for 2021!

Keep it natural

By bringing natural elements into the home designers are trying to strengthen the human-nature connection. There’s no better way of doing this than by installing real wood flooring! (See the link below to perform a ‘natural’ product search on Flooring Hut’s website). When decorating, try using browns, greens and don’t forget navy blues to complete that natural aesthetic.

Grey

This was a top trend for 2020 and it looks set to stay that way into 2021! Grey oozes cool class and sophistication. The great thing with grey flooring is that you can find it in carpets, luxury vinyl tiles, real wood flooring and laminates, so you are not limited on material choice just because of colour. The link below performs a ‘Grey’ search on our website, give it a click and enjoy looking around). Grey isn’t going to come off the trending list anytime soon, so we reckon this is a safe bet for modernising your home and keeping up-to-date for the next few years!

Conclusion

Whilst this is not an exhaustive list of potential 2021 flooring trends, we believe it will give you a rough idea as to what will be popular next year. If you choose one of the trends listed above you can rest assured that your floor will continue to look beautiful and eye-catching for many years to come! Ultimately, it is your home, so choose the floor that makes you the happiest. Happy flooring!
