Choosing LVT Flooring for a Kitchen

Check its wear layer, installation method, cleaning guidance and suitability for the intended room, together with any requirements for subfloor preparation or underfloor heating.

Glue down LVT requires a suitably prepared subfloor and provides a relatively low-profile installation, while rigid core and other click products use a floating installation system. Always check the fitting requirements of the particular floor rather than assuming every type of LVT is installed in the same way.

Think about the flooring alongside the kitchen rather than in isolation. Wood-effect LVT can introduce natural-looking grain and warmth, while stone and concrete-inspired designs can complement both traditional and contemporary cabinetry.
